How I Work
I don't believe consultants should arrive with all the answers.
My first job is to listen. Every organization has its own history, culture, strengths, and challenges. By asking thoughtful questions and understanding what matters most, I help leaders create practical strategies that people can support and sustain.
Every organization has a story.
Before recommending solutions, I spend time understanding the people, history, and culture that make each organization unique. Lasting change doesn't come from imposing ideas—it comes from helping people build a shared path forward.
Representative Experience
My work has included building businesses from the ground up, developing airport concessions and public projects, strengthening nonprofit governance, writing successful grant proposals, modernizing a 208-year-old manufacturer, growing teams, and launching businesses in highly regulated environments.
Outside of Pivotstone, I'm passionate about Canadian genealogy, preserving Vermont's heritage, and bringing forgotten Vermont foods back to life. Those projects reflect the same curiosity, persistence, and appreciation for history that shape my consulting work.
